a little bit of how I became a graphic designer. and a typeface nerd.
graduated in graphic design for belas artes de são paulo, I started my career on branding in futurebrand in 2007. during a period of four years, I specialized in brand design and editorial graphic design. honed my skills when I joined the team at reverb over the next two years, participating in the structuring of the brand identity division at the agency.
currently I work as a senior graphic designer at questtonó, and as a freelancer in the direction and development of visual expression for brands, seeking solutions that combine creativity with strategy.

workshop with typographer, calligrapher and lettering artist jackson alves that aimed to teach fundamental techniques and tools for creating lettering (drawing custom letters) for use in design or advertising as a strategy to highlight your message through the abundance of information today. the workshop was divided into ½ period for paper techniques and the other ½ for computer techniques.

type design: conception and production of typographic families

the course was given by type designer flora de carvalho with the aim of presenting the entire process of elaborating a set of typefaces, from the draft to the files export. for this, we learned how to define parameters, draw quality curves and manage the interpolation process within glyphs app. at the end of the program, we had started a cohesive and structured typeface project, which can be continued in the future.
